Recurrent urinary tract infection in a man with flank pain

Case presentation

Patient was a 30 Y/O man presented with recurrent urinary tract infection and irritative lower urinary tract symptoms.His infection was resistant to prophylactic antibiotics.Patient reported bilateral flank pain that aggreviated by hydration.


Ultrasonography

Ultrasonography showed bilateral normal size and shape kidneys.There was severe hydronephrosis in right kidney .Dilation of right renal pelvis was greater than calyceal system.The AP diameter of right renal pelvis was 34 mm.

IVP revealed normal nephrogram and pyelogram in left kidney and delay nephrogram and pyelogram in right kidney.There was severe hydronephrosis in right pyelocalyceal system.


Surgical procedure

According to above data patient underwent laparoscopic ureteroureterostomy.
