Right renal mass in a 39 Y/O woman

Case presentation

Patient was a 39 Y/0 woman with right flank pain from 3 monthes ago.She had no history of weight loss , loss of appetite and other constitutional signs or symptoms.


Ultrasonography

Left kidney was normal in shape and size.There was an isoechogenous mass in lower pole of right kidney with 33 mm diameter.

CT scan revealed normal left kidney.There was a well defined mass in lower pole of left kidney with 33 mm diameter.The lesion was enhanced after contrast media injection.


Surgical procedure

According to aboce data finally patient underwent right laparoscopic partial nephrectomy.

Sections showed renal tissue involved by a malignant neoplasm composed of nests & sheets of tumoral cells with round to oval nuclei & clear cytoplasm with well defined borders as well as abundant thin walled vessels that was compatible with clear cell type renal cell carcinoma.
